Avalanche Condition Boards
Replacement Fund

Our current project is raising funds for is the replacement of the Tuckerman and Huntington Ravine Avalanche condition slat boards at Pinkham Notch, Hermit Lake Shelter and the Harvard Cabin.  The new boards will have a standardized layout with a "feel and aesthetic" that is similar to the current board at Hermit Lake with a focus on informational changes, simplicity, and long term flexibility.   Upgrading the boards will ensure that Tuckerman and Huntington users have the critical information necessary to make the educated decisions necessary for safe use of the Ravines.  By providing private funds for the Avalanche Information Boards the USFS can redirect the resources to other critical staffing and safety programs that would otherwise be left unfunded.
