Davy Esty

Dave stepped down as president in June 2009.  He spent most of his career as a NYC-based marketing-communications executive, rising from the corporate officer ranks of the world's largest advertising agency to CEO-ships at several advertising and media companies. His 37-year listing in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the world indicate a number of board seats in corporate America as well as non-profit organizations, including three decades of service on The Advertising Council board and its executive committee. In the last several years Esty has retired/resigned from all outside corporate boards, but he is actively engaged in several businesses including his role as  MarkeTeam's Managing Director. He led the record-breaking Class of 1954 at Amherst College for over 50 years and has been honored by the college's Distinguished Service Award. A long-standing member of the National Ski Patrol, now patrolling at Sugarbush, he was one of the early recipients of its Distinguished Service Award. He and his wife, Betsy, live in Waitsfield Vermont. He is a descendent of Edward Tuckerman, the Amherst College botany professor for whom the ravine is named.
